Video: Indian expats celebrate Independence Day in UAE – News

Hundreds of expatriates gathered to watch unfurling of India’s flag.

Indian expatriates gathered at the consulate in Dubai and the embassy in Abu Dhabi on the 73rd Independence Day to watch the country’s national flag unfurl.

While a special statue of Mahatma Gandhi will be unveiled in the Capital, separate celebrations are set to take place in Indian associations across the UAE.

Besides missions and organisations, Indian expatriates across the UAE are also gearing up for the festivities. As preparations went in full swing, members of community looked back at how far India has come and how strong its relations with the UAE has become.
