Oman’s National Committee of Civil Defence (NCCD) is all geared up to tackle Cyclone Kyarr as it approaches the coastlines.

According to Times of Oman, the effects of Cyclone Kyarr were already being felt in Oman on Monday and Tuesday, with waves far higher than normal splashing passers-by on the Muttrah Corniche, and flooding the roads near Port Sultan Qaboos.

The authorities of the civil defence has put out a message asking public to take beware of the effects of Kyarr, safeguard their lives and property, and avoid going to areas by the sea.

Despite being warned, many people flocked to the flooded area to see the high waves and took to social media to share their videos.
