Two women get jail term for begging outside mosque in Dubai – News

Two women were sentenced to a month-long imprisonment after they were found guilty of begging outside a mosque in Dubai. They will be deported once they serve their sentence.

The two women had been arrested after they were found begging from worshippers as they came out of the mosque. Cash was also seized from their possession.

The Dubai Public Prosecution then referred the two visitors to the Court of Misdemeanours.

The public prosecution has also appealed to the community members to contribute in combating begging and report them to the competent authorities.
