The world’s biggest Magnolia Bakery is in Abu Dhabi

It’s so good it’s bad but oh boy is it sweet! New York’s famous bakery is open in Abu Dhabi. And it’s big!

Got a sweetooth?  Now you can rejoice. The biggest Magnolia Bakery in the world is right here in Abu Dhabi and we’re licking our lips!

The super-sized New York giant has opened shop at newly extended The Galleria Al Maryah Island.

Sitting on a 2,614 square-meter space and with 70 seats, the bakery delivers an army of signature treats — from decorated cakes, to cupcakes and of course, its famed banana pudding (Yes please!).

Savouries are on the menu too.  All-day breakfast items such as omelettes, pancakes, sandwiches and salads, fries and even classic Middle Eastern staple fatteh are up for the taking.

There are now 250 shops in the mall. Brands include  Zara, Virgin Megastore and Decathlon.

Feeling famished then The Cheesecake Factory, Bouchon Bakery and the California-based Blaze Pizza, co-owned by NBA superstar LeBron James should help fill a hole. There are even more to choose from of course.

Once you’ve had your fill head to the lush urban rooftop parks, or catch a film at the 21-screen VOX Cinema with IMAX or the indoor play area Xtreme Zone.

The anticipated opening in 2020 of giant Japanese bookstore Kinokuniya – its first in Abu Dhabi branch – means it won’t be just cake lovers that’ll be rejoicing!

Let them eat cake! Don’t mind if we do! (yeah! We just altered history…please forgive us)
