According to reports, the film showed very good growth of about 5o%, thus taking collections to an estimated Rs 18 crore nett on day two. With the total collection of the film already amounting to an estimated Rs 30 crore, trade experts have predicted an upward trend for the film and even stated that it could cross the 50-crore mark over the weekend. If it does manage to achieve this feat, it would secure a spot as the fifth or sixth biggest weekend of 2019 without a holiday factor propelling its growth.
The film that opened to mixed reviews following a long battle with controversies since its inception, is looking forward to maintaining its hold over the box office, especially since it is sharing business with ‘Kabir Singh’, the socio-drama ‘Article 15’ and the superhero Hollywood release, ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.
‘Super 30’ chronicles the life story of Anand Kumar (played by Hrithik), an Indian mathematician who quit his job as a teacher in a top coaching centre attended by rich students, to dedicate his time into teaching underprivileged children and help them crack the IIT-JEE exams.
