Mal Abdullah Ibrahim has not been involved in any traffic violation since 1975.
A man who has not committed a single traffic violation for 45 years was among nine senior citizens to be honoured by the Sharjah Police for their clear traffic record. They were felicitated at a ceremony held at Sharjah Police Club to mark the International Day of Older Persons.
Mal Abdullah Ibrahim, who has not been involved in any traffic violation since 1975, pointed out that every motorist should respect and comply with all the traffic rules and regulations.
Hassan Samir Al Anzi, another citizen bestowed with the honour, said that he received the driver’s licence for the first time in 1967, and in the last 20 years, he had not committed any traffic violation.
Nawal Mohammed, another awardee, showered praises on the Sharjah Police and thanked them for the coveted honour.
Brig General Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, director-general of central operations in Sharjah Police, called on the honoured senior citizens to raise awareness among the GenNext about the importance of road safety and keeping violations at bay.
