Saudi: Expats To Face Deportation Upon Expired Iqamas

The Directorate General of Passports warned expats of deportation due to failure in the renewal of resident ID’s before its expiry as per the rules and regulations in the Kingdom.

The Jawazat said failure to renew the resident IDs for expats for the first time will result in a fine of SR500 which will go up to SR1,000 the second time and deportation from the country for failure to do so the third time.

The resident IDs (earlier known as iqamas) should be renewed at least three days before their expiry through Absher electronic service of the Interior Ministry or the Muqeem e-gate.
