The Attorney-General of the State of Qatar, H E Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, met yesterday with the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Yuri Fedotov.
The meeting, which was attended by the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Organisations in Vienna, Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri, discussed means of promoting the cooperation between the State of Qatar and the UN Office in the field of combating corruption.
H E the Attorney-General underlined the commitment of the State of Qatar to continue combating corruption and money laundering and strengthening criminal justice systems worldwide.
Fedotov expressed the UN appreciation and gratitude for Qatar’s generous contributions in support of the projects undertaken by the United Nations Office, especially in the areas of combating crime and corruption in all its forms, thus contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. The Attorney-General also met with Assistant Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, John Brandolino. The meeting discussed joint projects between the two sides.
