He pointed out that the Ministry will hold a press conference after the Eid Al Adha holidays to present more details about these preparations.

He pointed out that the academic year 2019/2020 will witness the opening of five new schools for primary, preparatory and secondary levels in the areas of Al Wakrah, Muaither, Al Kheesa, Old Airport (Al Matar Al Qadeem) and Al Manaseer.

Al Nuaimi wished all the children a new school year full of hard work, academic achievement, and excellence.

The preparations for the new academic year are carried out in full cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior, to ensure the safety of students and the school environment throughout the school year, in addition to the role of the Public Works Authority “Ashghal” in terms of opening and maintenance of streets, bridges, tunnels and intersections, to ensure a smooth flow of traffic using a range of local roads and traffic diversions.

The campaign aims to strengthen communication with all parties, to prepare students for the new academic year and provide them with the necessary advice and guidance in this regard and to remind and emphasise the importance of moral and psychological readiness to start the academic year and sharpen the motivation for regular school attendance since the first day, in addition to the participation of parents and all the partners of the educational process in its activities to benefit from the support services provided to students and schools.
