Pakistani rock band clarifies Dubai concert reports – News

Rumours said the band would be performing at Global Village.

Pakistani rock band Junoon is not performing at Dubai’s Global Village, one of the band’s members confirmed.

On a Facebook post, Ali Azmat said that Junoon is not scheduled to perform in Dubai’s Global Village this season. Ali Azmat, the band’s vocalist said: “Junoon is not contracted for performance in any concert or Global Village acts, other than the concert in Dubai on November 29 with our long-standing partners Oberoi Middle East Event.”

Azmat called the news reports: “misleading , damaging & inaccurate.”

The vocalist also said the rumours have affected the band’s supporters in the region who were coming to their sole concert in the UAE this November 29.

The band said that they are calling for an immediate retraction of all misleading reports and an apology and clarification from media organisations.
