Oman to implement 5 per cent VAT – News

The tax is expected to have limited impact on living costs, a government statement said.

The Sultanate of Oman will establish a 5 per cent value-added tax (VAT), it was announced today.

The tax, which will be rolled out in six months, will be levied on most goods and services, with some exceptions, a government statement said.
