An Emirati youth died after his car flipped over multiple times on a rain-drenched road in Sharjah.
According to preliminary investigations, the 27-year-old man was speeding amid heavy rains when he lost control over the vehicle. The tragedy was reported in Sharjah’s Al Seyouh area. He was reportedly speeding through deep puddles when the accident happened.
The police said 11 people suffered from serious to minor injuries in other rain-related crashes in the emirate in the last two days.
Urging motorists to be extra careful while driving during foul weather, the police reiterated that wet conditions affect visibility.
