Suhail Galadari, Co-Chairman of Galadari Brothers, had made a Rs10 million pledge to sponsor the air tickets.

Pakistan’s Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and HRD, Sayed Zulfi Abbas Bukhari, has conveyed his gratitude to Suhail Galadari, Co-Chairman of Galadari Brothers, for sponsoring the air tickets of 200 destitute Pakistanis stranded in the UAE.

The stranded Pakistanis will fly to Multan and Islamabad later today through special flights operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). About 100 will take off from Sharjah at 9am and the rest at 4pm.

Suhail Galadari had made a Rs10 million pledge to sponsor the air tickets as he met Bukhari at the Khaleej Times office on July 25.

The special flights were arranged by PIA CEO Arshad Malik and the airline offered discounted air fares to support the repatriation operation.

Khaleej Times journalists are stationed at the Sharjah International Airport to cover the repatriation mission live.
