Kuwait, Spain Olympic Committees sign cooperation deal

President of Kuwait’s Olympic signing a cooperation deal with Spanish counterpart.

DOHA, Oct 13, (KUNA):
Kuwait’s national Olympic committee finalized an agreement on Sunday with its
Spanish counterpart for more cooperation in the sports sector.

The deal, signed on behalf of
Kuwait’s Olympic body by its president Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Sabah and his
opposite number Alejandro Blanco, aims to give impetus to the Kuwaiti Olympic
movement through helping athletes hone their skills.

The agreement, which also entails
administrative reforms, allows both sides the chance to work together on the
international stage.

The International Olympic
Committee recently lifted a four-year ban on Kuwait, allowing the Gulf state’s
athletes to compete at next year’s Tokyo 2020 Olympics under their country’s
