No fee would be charged from Indian pilgrims on the opening day of the Kartarpur corridor.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday waived off two requirements for Indian pilgrims visiting Gurudwara Darbar Sahib through the Kartarpur corridor.

No fee would be charged from Indian pilgrims on the opening day of the Kartarpur corridor on November, Imran Khan said in his tweet.

In his tweet he said that the pilgrims visiting Kartarpur will not need a passport. He also said that there is no need to register ten days in advance for the visit.

“For Sikhs coming for pilgrimage to Kartarpur from India, I have waived off 2 requirements:

i) they wont need a passport – just a valid ID; ii) they no longer have to register 10 days in advance. Also, no fee will be charged on day of inauguration & on Guruji’s 550th  birthday,” the prime minister tweeted.

Imran Khan will inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor on November 9, three days before the 550th festival of Baba Guru Nanak, slated for November 12.
