Karim Kassem: 'Welad Rizk P2' is facing fierce competition

CAIRO – 14 August 2019: Actor Karim Kassem expressed his great joy with presenting a second part of the film “Welad Rizk” (Sons of Rizk).

Kassem explained that the second part of the film was delayed because it took a long time to be shot due to the many action scenes that needed a lot of preparations, noting that the filming took about nine weeks.

Kassem further stated to the press that it is possible to produce a third and even a fourth part of the film.

The actor stressed that the film is facing strong competition in the season of Eid al-Adha, wishing all the participating films success, “because the films’ success comes for the best interest of the Egyptian film industry,” said Kassem.

“Welad Rizk P 2”, starring Ahmed Ezz, garnered revenues of LE 8,401,929 on the first day of Eid al-Adha, bringing the total revenues to LE 20.4 million in four weeks. The revenues are expected to increase.

“Welad Rizk 2 – The Return of the Lions of the Earth” is co-starring Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed el Fishawi, Ahmed Dawood, Karim Qassem, Khaled el Sawy and Nisreen Amin.

The film is written by Salah el-Guhaini, directed by Tarek el-Erian and produced by Synergy Films, Tarek el Erian, Moussa Issa and Al-Taher Media Productions.
