Head of IT & Development at SOS HR Solutions – Al Kuwait

Job Description

Responsible for leading the overall operations of the Information Technology Department in a manner to optimize company’s market share and provide robust Information Technology solutions to subscribers resulting in outstanding customer service Review the operating results of the division and follow-up to ensure appropriate measures are taken to correct insufficient results Direct and advise the medium to longer-term operations of the IT department respectively by providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, providing leadership, and facilitating the integration of work processes in order to achieve high performance standards in a motivated work environment. Lead and direct the development and effective deployment of IT policies, systems, and processes that support the achievement of the set strategy Lead the operations and ensure infrastructure and network administration are at advance and best practices by managing and overseeing all following IT activities (but not limited to): Application Support (Programming)  Business Analysis Database Administration Network & Communication IT Helpdesk Oversee the development and maintenance of Core system as well as specialized applications Oversee and control the business analysis team to conduct industry analysis and business modeling activities in order to investigate the trends in information and communication technology to meet the needs. Ensure and oversee the maintenance of database performance; implementation of new releases and other maintenance requirements Oversee the IT security architecture and monitor its implementation to ensure high degree of protection against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction and disclosure of information  Ensure the maintenance computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations Establish and manage new IT vendor or consultant contracts and strategic relationships (as per the IT plan) for future selection and acquisition of software and applications Lead the IT department by ensuring the provision of expertise, encouragement of teamwork, and alignment of work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and objectives, and ensure employee engagement in a motivated work environment Oversee, monitor, evaluate and manage overall Information technology performance to ensure all targets are achieved Ensure the continuous development to improve  service level agreement and ensure the department has the technological, process, and human capability to meet and exceed customer expectations Oversee the IT activities and obtain subscriber feedback to analyse the same and identify the level of satisfaction for respective services related to technology area Liaise with the concerned external body’s and submit necessary reports to ensure compliance with all the rules and regulations Lead the invoice management in coordination with the Finance department to ensure accuracy of the same and maintain highest quality of customer services Assist in the management of change through continuous improvement of the functional processes and practices taking into account ‘leading practices’ and changes in the business environment to ensure the demands meet proactive action plans Work closely with the department managers to plan and advance the people agenda, analyse manpower plans, implications of decisions, and address issues to direct the priorities accordingly Recommend salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on employee performance with coordination with HRD and joint agreement. Carry out disciplinary meetings when needed  Ensure training needs of employees are identified and recommend relevant training initiatives that will assist in building a highly professional and knowledgeable workforce Oversee the implementation and development of procedure and policies in order to ensure the department is compliant with internal control, Audit and external body’s requirements and best practices Responsible for the preparation of Department Long Range Plan and Annual Budget Conduct annual employee performance appraisal of employees ensuring employee career development and motivation

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or MISMaster’s in MIS would be an advantage. Knowledge and understanding of the Credit Bureau industry, Financial Industry and related practicesProfessional certificates related to IT and Business DevelopmentEffective verbal/written communication in both English and Arabic13 + years of experience in banking background preferred
