During the first day of Eid Al Adha, inspectors of Al Khor and Al Dhakhira Municipality conducted an inspection at popular butcheries and kitchens.

The raids were meant to ensure the safety of food items offered and also that the employees of these shops work in line with the safety norms.  In addition to this, the inspectors inspected various beaches at the boundaries of Al Khor Municipality and Al Dhakhira.

Veterinary doctors from the Meat Health Unit of the Health Control Department supervised the abattoirs and the fish market in Al Khor during the first day of Eid Al Adha holiday during morning and evening. The inspection tours ended up destroying four whole butchered sheep and cattle as they were unfit for human consumption.
