"Inca Road System" Photography Exhibition to be held in BA on Sept. 12


CAIRO – 11 September 2019: The Department of Exhibitions and Art Collections of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will organize, on Sept. 12, a photo exhibition entitled (Inca Road System).

The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Peruvian Ambassador to Egypt.

The exhibition includes a number of distinctive photographs taken of the Inca road, one of the most important road networks in Latin America.

Extended over 30,000 square kilometers, Inca Main Road passes through a number of countries: Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, parts of Argentina and Chile.

The road also witnessed the eruption and collapse of several Latin civilizations in this part of the world, and was included by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

On the other hand, the Arts Center of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing its first concerts for the artistic season 2019-2020, for the first time on the theaters of the library.

The Arts Center of the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will present on September 21, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony Orchestra in the library’s Grand Theater, in addition to the Fantasy Coral for piano, choir and orchestra.

Egyptian international pianist Ramzi Yassi will participate in the concert, along with the Library Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra and the BA Symphony Orchestra will lead the concert, led by Maestro Nayer Nagy, the orchestra’s chief conductor starting the current season.

The orchestra offers a number of concerts during the current season; ranging from classical Egyptian and international music, with interest in concerts and workshops for children and youth.
