Greta Gerwig's 'Little Women' trailer is out and you're not ready

One of the most heartbreaking, human and heroic tales of ‘her’ to ever existed is back. After the 1994 version of Little Women starring Clare Danes, Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst and Christian Bale, we’d be lying if we didn’t feel a little skeptical about a do-over. But, with just 2.43 minutes worth of goosebump-inducing footage, I mean, Winona who?

Little Women follows the March sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy as they go from childhood to womanhood – a struggle that half of us are pretty familiar with. In the fight to live their lives exactly as they desire individually, the sisters clash, overcome obstacles, drift apart and drift even closer as their lives are met with a number of different trials. Little Women makes for a wonderfully empowering story of being true to yourself and following your heart.

Director of the multi-award winning film Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig’s upcoming adaptation shows just how easy it was for the phenomenal cast (including Saoirse Ronan, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen) to jump into the shoes of Alcott’s iconic characters.
