Bookworms will be kept busy at Al Ain’s biggest library.
Zayed Central Library is devoting a day to celebrating the Year of Tolerance with fun ways for children to get involved, organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
On Thursday (13th June) there are going to be workshops for kids and their families to take part in, interactive story sessions around the theme of tolerance and gifts will be collected for children who are cared for by charities.
See a collection of valuable books highlighting tolerance across the UAE’s history, on show from Friday (14th June).
Because it’s also World Blood Donor Day, a blood donation campaign will take place in the evening. Find out more about the importance of donating blood.
If you’ve never taken a trip to Zayed Central Library, it’s well worth a visit. The space is filled with more than 130,000 titles and has free wifi, reading rooms, a theatre and a bookstore.
