Five hurt in latest bull run

Five people were injured yesterday while taking part in the Spanish town of Pamplona’s famed “Running of the Bulls” festival, broadcaster RTVA reported.
The five received medical treatment for concussions and bruises, the broadcaster said.
Several people who sustained lighter injuries in the run, which lasted two minutes and 12 seconds, received medical attention from the Red Cross at the scene.
RTVA commentators said that this run had been particularly fast because three bulls – uncastrated males – instead of oxen had taken the lead.
There have been reports of injuries including gorings during previous runs this week.
Dedicated to the city’s patron saint, San Fermin, the festival has existed since 1591, featuring the spectacle of six black fighting bulls running through the narrow streets of the city to the bullring for eight days in a row.
