Fighting coronavirus: UAE school prayer room rules to keep the faithful safe – News

Wearing masks is mandatory and the prayer rooms must be cleaned after each use.

Prayer facilities will be exclusive for students and teachers, and other staff must use their offices to pray, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has instructed schools ahead of the reopening on Sunday, August 30.

“Staff and students must bring their own prayer mats and they should observe a safe distance of at least 1.5 metres at all times,” said the ministry on Twitter.

“Wearing masks is mandatory and the prayer rooms must be cleaned after each use,” added the ministry.
