Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar may have not yet gone on record to proclaim their love for each other, but the two have been paining social media red with their adorable PDA filled posts. Ahead of the ‘The Sky Is Pink’ premiere at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Friday, Farhan who plays the leading man, took to social media to share a selfie with his biggest ‘fan’.
Huddled up close, Shibani and Farhan put on their best smiles for the camera, as they waited for their flight. “These fans I tell you @shibanidandekar,” the actor captioned the photo.
Farhan will soon be joining Priyanka Chopra and director Shonali Bose, who have already begun promotional interactions for the film. In a recent report on PTI, Shonali spoke about the experience of working with two major Bollywood stars in a restrained, sensitive true story about the loss of a teenage child and the impact of the tragedy on her parents.
“It was initially a bit intimidating to work with Farhan and Priyanka,” says Bose. “For one, Farhan is a director I personally admire. Moreover, he is someone who has directed Priyanka in a film. I felt conscious, but the two actors surrendered completely and trusted me. That made my job easy.”
‘The Sky Is Pink’ is about a 25-year relationship between a real-life couple, Aditi and Niren Chaudhary, whose 19-year-old daughter, Aisha, passed away because of pulmonary fibrosis contracted as a result of chemotherapy done for Severe Combined Immune Deficiency (SCID).
The trailer that released early this week, was well-received by fans and film buffs.
