Fair weather this weekend in UAE, rain likely on Sunday – News

Heavy rain and hailstorm hit the Mleiha area in Sharjah while moderate to light rain lashed some other parts of the UAE on Wednesday.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather for today is fair in general but partly cloudy in some areas and hazy at times in the eastern part of the country.

People, however, should be wary of blowing dust caused by light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, with a speed of 20-30kmph and topping at 40kmph.

It will again be fair in general and partly cloudy over some areas on Friday. It is a good to go to the beach as the waves will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf. Wear comfortable clothes though as it will be humid at night.

There will be a slight decrease in temperature on Saturday but, again, it will be humid at night until early Sunday morning. This will also result in fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.

Rain is expected in some parts of the UAE on Sunday as there is a probability of some convective clouds formation in the afternoon.

It will be humid at night until early Monday morning with fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.

Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times during day times, causing blowing dust, with a speed of 20-30kmphis expected on Monday. The waves will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
