Former Australia cricketer Dean Jones died of a stroke on Thursday in Mumbai.

The former Australian batsman was in India for a commentary assignment in the Indian Premier League. He died after suffering a massive heart attack at a hotel in Mumbai on Thursday.
Dean Jones was known for his bluntness and a popular figure among the cricketing fraternity.

Cricketing world will miss him.

Jones also worked with the Islamabad United franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and guided the team to their second title.

He was the coach of the Karachi Kings franchise during the PSL 2020 and was expected to return to Pakistan for the remainder of the match in November later this year

Jones played 245 first-class matches in which he amassed a total of 19,188 runs at an average of 51.85 with 55 centuries and 88 half-centuries.
