Dubai Police issue new advisory for residents – News

The alert has been issued due to rough conditions in the Oman Sea.

The Dubai Police have called on the public when swimming in the beaches in the city, as the wave heights are expected to reach up to 7 feet high.

Taking to Twitter, Dubai Police said: “For your safety, do not swim alone in places that have few people around.”

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) also urged residents to avoid visiting the beach during the rough weather.

“Fresh southeasterly winds are expected and might reach 40kmph at times.  The wave height is expected to reach up to 7 feet high,” according to the NCM.
