‘Housefull 4’ has raked in a very good opening day collection, however, the film didn’t manage to push further in the evening because of pre-Diwali. As per the latest report on the Boxofficeindia.com, the film has managed to collect around Rs 19 crore on its opening day at the box office. The business slowed in the evening as its generally fewer footfalls in the evening due to the festivities.
Despite the pre-Diwali weekend, ‘Housefull 4’ has managed to record the best opening for the franchise. The film has also recorded the second-highest opening for a comedy film after the 2017 film ‘Golmaal Again’ which had collected Rs 30 crore on its first day and was also a Diwali release.
Considering the pre-Diwali release, the opening is very good as films releasing on the weekend before Diwali usually do not open fully because of the festivities. The actual take-off for the film is from Monday. The film can even see a drop on Sunday.
Talking about the other two films, ‘Made In China’ and ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ remained unnoticed on their first day at the box office. Both the films were overshadowed by ‘Housefull 4’, even though they cater to a different audience. The films found a limited audience plus the pre-Diwali weekend hampered the collections.
As per the report on Boxofficeindia.com, Rajkummar Rao‘s ‘Made in China’ collected around Rs 1 crore on its opening day while Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ settled for around Rs 50 lakh on its first day.
