There are currently 38 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 140 cases receiving treatment.
The Bahrain health ministry has reported 841 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 613 recoveries.
Of the new cases, 124 were among expatriate workers, 716 were contacts of active cases, and one was travel related. Three new deaths were reported. The death toll stands at 216.
As many as 12,299 Covid-19 tests were carried out on September 16, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 55,444.
