The Fujairah Police have launched a search and rescue operation to find a 32-year-old Arab man, who went missing a week ago in the mountainous areas of Dibba Al Fujairah.

A helicopter and a well-trained rescue team have been dispatched to comb through the area as soon as the police were alerted about the missing man three days ago, said Col Saif Rashid Al Zahmi, chief of Dibba Fujairah Police.

Police sources told Khaleej Times on Saturday that the “search and rescue operations are still ongoing”.

“Some Emiratis are also involved in the operations,” they added.

The brother of the young man filed the missing report, Col Al Zahmi said. “The young GCC citizen has been reportedly missing for a week so far.”
