“I have been working as a taxi driver here in the emirate of Fujairah for years, but I never got involved in such indecent acts.”

An Asian taxi driver appeared in the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court on charges of allegedly harassing a Gulf woman and stalking her from her house until she reached her destination.

The Fujairah Police summoned the driver and referred him to public prosecution.

The man was then moved to the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court where he denied the charges.

“I was on duty and never ever did any such baseless claim.” He added that he did not chase the complainant.

“I have been working as a taxi driver here in the emirate of Fujairah for years, but I never got involved in such indecent acts.”

“Not even a single complaint of harassing or bothering passengers was filed against me,” he underlined.

He noted that he has made so many friends with lots of passengers.

“This is because of my decent and professional manner.”

The court ordered adjournment of the case to next week to issue its ruling.
