Minister of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning revealed the latest statistics for the number of vehicles registered in Bahrain by the General Directorate of Traffic until the end of August 2019.
According to the statistics, the number of vehicles registered in Bahrain reached 711,000 as of August 2019 and that it can be increased by the end of this year.
The numbers show an annual increase of 10% as the number of vehicles registered for 2018 was about 640,000 vehicles.
The official added that that the Ministry is currently implementing a number of strategic projects to develop the road network in various governorates of the Kingdom, aiming to increase its capacity and ensuring the smooth traffic flow and raising the level of traffic safety.
