The Capital Municipality collected 47,575 tonnes of domestic waste during the past three months in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Nearly 150 tonnes of food was wasted in the Capital Governorate every day during the first three months of 2019, according to statistics with a high amount of household waste.
The municipality said it recently organized an exhibition to raise awareness on reducing food wastage at The Avenues Bahrain.
The Northern Governorate announced that 22000 tonnes of domestic waste were collected in addition to 4000 tonnes of construction waste and 6500 tonnes of agricultural waste during the first two months of 2019.
