The Education Ministry plans to establish a new public university in the Kingdom of Bahrain in cooperation with the private sector.
Education Minister Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi unveiled the planned academic project as he addressed the weekly session of the Council of Representatives.
“The new public university will offer academic programs which are not available at other higher educational institutions in Bahrain”, he said.
He stressed the importance of education as the cornerstone of social and economic development, stressed the strides achieved by the University of Bahrain in the latest international ranking.
Dr. Al Nuaimi stressed the ministry’s keenness on encouraging investment in the educational sector. He said that Bahrain has attracted leading universities due to the existence of the law that protects investors and students.
