The Sharjah Police on Thursday referred to public prosecution a case of the death of a 29-year-old Pakistani woman in Muweilah area of Sharjah.
The woman was found dead in a pool of blood in her residence, which she shared with other people of the same nationality, on October 10.
According to police sources, she was found with a cut on her veins, using a sharp knife. The police suspected foul play behind her death and the autopsy report will reveal more information.
Two Pakistani men who shared the same house were taken into custody as they were found drunk when the police arrived the crime scene. The police received a call about the death of the woman in the night and a team rushed to the site where they found her already dead.
The police lifted the evidence, including the knife that was found beside her and some fingerprints. The initial report indicated that she committed suicide by cutting her veins. The body was shifted to the forensic laboratory for autopsy.
