Drivers who do not abide by this traffic rule will be fined Dh500 and will get four traffic points.

Abu Dhabi Police have prevented movement of trucks, heavy vehicles and buses during foggy conditions due to reduced visibility on roads.

In a tweet on Saturday, Abu Dhabi Police warned truck drivers against driving during heavy fog in order to avoid accidents and boost traffic safety. Until the foggy weather condition is clear, heavy vehicles will not be allowed on internal and external roads.

Drivers who do not abide by this traffic rule, will be fined Dh500 and will get four traffic points, police stated in a post of Facebook.

Driving during fog is a traffic violation according to ministerial decision No. 178 of 2017 on rules and procedures for controlling Traffic according to Article 104 “Traffic in times of mist in violation of the instructions of the concerned entity”.
