Job Description
•Operate MB Service Management Information System (CDK – Autoline) to track service operations across the service
•Assist the Workshop Manager and Workshop Senior Staff in work scheduling and personnel deployment and inform staff about their deployment in a timely manner
•Monitor technician (and Team Leader) efficiency levels based on reports received from Accounts and provide timely feedback and inputs aimed at improving the same
•Schedule work among various Teams with Team Leaders, especially during overtime in a fair, timely and efficient manner and inform affected staff about additional work requirements
•Coordinate with other Service Advisors and Workshop Reception Staff to ensure that accurate time estimates required to complete a service job is provided to customers and ensure completion of service jobs as per delivery time committed and laid out standards
•Perform random quality control checks and vehicle inspection after completion of repairs in coordination with the tester and use diagnostic scan tools to inspect vehicles when required
•Assist technicians in diagnosis and repair of complicated service jobs and conduct regular meetings with them to discuss and help them address technical service issues
•Follow up with Parts personnel regarding pending parts to ensure completion of repair job within timeline conveyed to customer
•Provide technical instructions and demonstrate nature of service performed on vehicle to customers, if required
•Provide inputs to Support & Warranty department in preparing reports for MB containing details of any unprecedented vehicle performance abnormalities recorded
•Maintain and enforce safe working habits and conditions in the service
•Understand new MB service systems and processes and implement them in the service.
•Understand all technical requirements of various service operations in the service and ensure along with Training Officer and Assistant Service Manager that technicians are adequately trained to meet these operational requirements
•Apply information found in technical publications, periodical, bulletins, etc. and share the same with technicians.
