Job Description

Chief Information Officer develops the Al-Sayer Holding Information Technology strategies, business plans and service delivery models in order to ensure all business units and departments are provided with the accurate resources, timely with optimum service levels, in a cost effective manner and enable them achieve Balanced Score Cards objectives and Business results. The responsibilities include:
Strategic: 
Formulate the Al-Sayer Group IT strategic plans and budgets, identifying the long-term direction for the IT function in order to support the Al-Sayer Group companies’ business plans. 
Identify the strategic trends in the business and IT field and ensure alignment with and implementation of best practices to set a state of the art IT function across the Al-Sayer Group. 
Participate in due diligence in order to assess the IT implications for mergers and acquisitions and recommend solutions.
 
Operational: 
Establish the Al-Sayer Holding Information Technology roadmap strategy that guides systems architecture and infrastructure, applications and systems development and maintenance, supporting the scalable and efficient operations across all operated regions.
Lead and contribute towards building a great IT organization for greater scale and capabilities which is a part of building relationships and driving up innovations.
Maintain and improve customer and partner satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with IT Services organization
Deliver and implement a comprehensive security plan for IT
Deliver solutions to support and enhance concur businesses such as Sales and Marketing.
Support the division internal customers to benefit from data management solutions while focusing on a strategically managed budget to optimize cost and improve efficiency.
Define and adjust IT standards and technologies to enhance business processes across all divisions and regions.
Foster a team capable of producing the required outputs, delivering critical implementation projects including supporting internal customers.
Anticipate major technology changes to advance the company’s position in the competitive landscape.
Integrate business and technology to innovate, identifying emerging information technologies to be assimilated and introduced within Al-Sayer.
Optimize the mix of in-house versus outsourced services, while establishing strategic service provider partnerships.
Provide operational guidance to technology teams including architecture, project services, application support, technology services, systems development and quality assurance.
Ensure resources, processes and activities are continuously reviewed and optimized to achieve company objectives.
 
People Management:
Plan and control staffing and development of the business unit or department staff to ensure effective operations of business unit/department function and provide for continuity of managerial and specialized skills.  
Review the performance and potential of individual staff members and make/approve decisions relating to IT employee matters, such as appointment and termination of staff, promotions and salary adjustments, disciplinary action, succession planning, development plans, etc… 
Ensure increasing levels of employee satisfaction and improve the efficiency of manpower. 
Make requisite attempts to handle all grievances raised by subordinates in a prompt and effective manner. 

Skills

Educational Qualifications and Experience:  
Post Graduate Diploma in IT (Bachelor Degree + 1 or 2 year diploma) or equivalent degree with 20 years of experience or Bachelor degree (12th Standard + 3 years or 4 years’ degree) or equivalent with 23 years of experience
Linguistic Abilities: English is a must.
